Lyme Regis itself is a fantastic seaside town situated on the magnificent Jurassic Coast; it's known as the Pearl Of Dorset and upon visiting, it's easy to see why. A wonderful spot for fossil hunters, it also sits on the South West Coast Path and offers a whole host of wonderful hikes and walks nearby. Take a boat trip fishing or walk along the bay to see the full impact of the layers of yesteryear in the cliffs.
Lyme Regis' sheltered south-facing beaches are safe for both children and water sport enthusiasts, with great fishing and leisure boat opportunities available from the Cobb Harbour.
There are vast amounts of festivals and events happening in the town throughout the year. Some of the bigger events include the jazz and folk festivals, Food Rocks, Regatta & Carnival Week, Guitars on The Beach and Lifeboat Week which offers a week of fun, games, music and displays for all the family.
Within the town you can visit Lyme Regis Museum, The Marine Theatre, Dinosaurland and the Town Mill. Just a few miles from the town we also have Jurassic Footgolf and Tunnel Tree Tops Ltd. There is a vast array of independent shops as well as a Coop, Tesco Express, Boots and Post Office. In terms of food there are plenty of wonderful pubs, restaurants and coffee shops.
